Gardens of Fez is an artistic research and documentary film, recalling the vanishing gardens of the old city of Fez and the worlds they enclose–featuring Rajae Drissi, Rachid Haloui, Camilea El Hakem, Mohammed El Hadri, Hassan Saghrousni, Sidi Azzouz, and Fouad Rhalmane.
“The film reflects on the bond between humanity, water, and nature in Fez, successfully portraying water as a living, spiritual entity.”
“
Benito Strangio’s cinematography is deeply intimate and intuitive, with an eye for beautiful compositions in which the interplay between light and landscape works exceptionally well.”
